Rose, a 17-year-old Hunter, knew nothing but what she was taught by those around her, especially the teaching of the Matriarch. Among these teachings of the importance of helping those in need was one major point that was stressed ad nauseam until one could repeat in their sleep was the insistence that those that could take the form of beasts were their greatest enemy. What is Rose to do when one of her greatest visions brought this enemy to the forefront of her attention?
